Infant Care
Leaving your young infant with someone you don't know can be a difficult and nerve-racking decision to make. As more children enter child-care in the early, tender years of infancy, the continuity of care between home and outside care is very important for the young child. My daycare is specially designed for newborn to up to three years old. I will make sure the transition is as comfortable as possible for you and your child during this time. You can be sure that I will try to understand and value your practices at home and will strive to work with you to blend the two settings. I believe that to provide quality care, it is important for me to build trust, and loving bond with your child. I also believe that having a good relationship and maintaining good communication with parents concerning how care will be provided, is for the best interest of the child. Considering all of these ideas, I will be sensitive, accepting, cooperative, and accessible to meet all of your child's needs.

Ellen, and her staff are exceptional!
Our daughter started attending Ellen’s when she was just over a year old in September 2020. We pulled our daughter out of a larger, center-based daycare in the area in March 2020 and were looking for welcoming, home-based care starting Fall 2020. Our anxiety was heightened during this time due to Covid however, the precautions that Ellen and her staff took and continue to take have been exceptional and have made us feel very safe.
Although our daughter attends part-time, she wakes up every morning asking to go to Ellen’s! Our excitement to go to Ellen’s each day attests to the welcoming environment that Ellen and her staff have created. They treat each child in a loving manner, as if they were their own, which is extremely reassuring as a parent.
Ellen and her staff fill each day with fun activities and learning experiences. These learning experiences are inclusive to all the kids in attendance! It is amazing to see how they differentiate the monthly themed activities for all developmental stages. Their new outdoor space is fantastic and they take any opportunity to get the kids outdoors multiple times a day!
Ellen’s communication with families is also fantastic. She uses the Daily Connect app to communicate eating, changing and sleeping notes in real time throughout the day. Her daily picture collages and videos that are shared through the app are also amazing. We love getting these visuals throughout the day as well as showing them to our daughter at the end of the day. Ellen is also very responsive via text and through the messaging function on the app. She communicates monthly themes and changes to specific days/ routines consistently.
We feel so fortunate to have found this community. We have met families that we know will be lifelong friends!
